American Thread Co, Star Book No 176
You can tell right from the start, with the book cover, that the contents will include mature and classic patterns. The picture portrays two patterns contained within the book.
They are calling this the 'Family Cardigan'. The size chart is one-size for both men, women and children (assuming they are old enough to be the smallest of womens size 30),
This classy piece is the Butterfly Cardigan. It's a classy design with interesting pattern stitch, roomy and comfortable for everyday wear.
Here is a great looking Slipover Sweater and Cardigan for him. (Of course, just change the button set for her).
Cable Sweater for Him and Her. All pattern books must have a cable cardigan, and this is, I must say, a great offering. (The blemish is a pinpoint hole in the book).
Now here is a roomy and bulky striped Slipover for him or her. This is a knitting pattern. It is sized S-M-L for both him and her.
Here's another all-around classic, Knitted Cardigan, that you can wear forever, according to the pattern. (Don't you love her hair flip?)
For your dressier Occasions, here's a lovely Lacy Overblouse. This is a great design for the plus woman. Straight lines, attractive pattern stitch all in an intermediate project.
'Just a Plain Good Looking V-neck, Slip On' Sweater for him. This is one you'll want to knit 'several' in different colors to take you through the winter.
This crocheted cardigan sports 'Shawl Collar, Roomy Pockets and Slim Lines. The way the shawl collar folds into the patch pockets is quite eye catching.
And, the back cover is a color picture of two the sweaters pictured above.
Honestly, I like every design in this book. Most of the patterns fall into the intermediate category and will become, I'm sure, favorites in your wardrobe.
Thanks for dropping by,
Lorrie
